What it is and the mechanism

Triterpenes and beta-glucans modulate immune activity via Toll-like receptor signaling. Adenosine in reishi extracts may contribute to sedative effects. Most human data is limited to immune outcomes.

When and how much to take

Interactions and cautions

Read these before combining this with other supplements or medication. The risk is rarely the headline, it is the interaction you did not check.

Interactions
  • Anticoagulants, potential additive blood-thinning effect
  • Immunosuppressants, theoretical immune interaction
Cautions
  • Ensure hot-water extracted product (beta-glucans are not alcohol-soluble)
  • GI discomfort in sensitive individuals
